Nestled near the Raleigh Durham International Airport, most people consider Brier Creek to be sort of a “Mini-Raleigh” of its own. This Northwest corner of Raleigh is symbolic of how Raleigh has grown since the early 1990’s. Over the past 20+ years, this area has seen thousands of single-family, townhomes and condominiums sprout up along with one of the Triangle’s largest and popular shopping centers. It also features the Brier Creek country club and golf course and numerous schools and recreation opportunities.

Location

This planned community is located in North Raleigh and convenient to the RDU Airport, RTP, and downtown Raleigh.  It has easy access to major highways, like I-540, I-40, and highway 70 which provides easy access to other parts of the region. Many say it offers the lifestyle of a countryside area, while keeping you just a few minutes from everything that a modern city can boast of.
The community tends to be popular with young, upwardly mobile families primarily because its close proximity to Research Triangle Park, the region's employment hub, but it's still in Wake County, home to what many consider to be the area's best schools.  

Entertainment, Shopping and Restaurant Galore!

Many shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues are found in the surrounding area. Brier Creek Commons is the central community shopping center and it is celebrated for its culinary choices, shopping variety, and entertainment options. There are several large and small stores that offer just about everything that you can ask for.

Some of the major stores include:
Dick’s Sporting Goods Target, Pet Smart, Pier1 Imports, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Total Wine, Walmart, Kohl’s, BestBuy any many more too numerous to list. And when you get bored of everything you can also watch a movie at the Brier Creek Cinemas. Additionally, Crabtree Mall is only a few miles south, and The Streets at Southpoint are located just a short drive to the west. 

There is are numerous small and large restaurants, enough to satisfy all tastes including American, Asian, Italian, Greek, Lebanese, Mexican, Indian, and much more! Examples of large chains include: Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse, Johnny Carino’s County Italian Restaurant, Chili’s Grill and Bar, Fujisan Japanese Steakhouse, McDonalds, and Moe’s, but there are many more to choose from as well.

Schools

Brier Creek Elementary is the only public school located within the neighborhood, but middle school and high school students attend schools in nearby Raleigh. These schools are serviced by the award-winning Wake County Public Schools District.  There are also numerous private school options nearby.
Because of its central location, Brier Creek is as it is almost equidistant to North Carolina State University, Duke University, and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Several other college or university options are available in the area as well, such as Shaw, Meredith, William Peace, and Wake Tech Community College.

Medical Facilities

Brier Creek also houses numerous medical facilities including the WakeMed Brier Creek Healthplex which offers outpatient health care services and emergency services for the entire family. There are also numerous other healthcare facilities and services located adjacent to the community.

Resort-class amenities

Those that live within the community enjoy a wealth of amenities. The 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course at Brier Creek Country Club is unparalleled among Raleigh golf courses. In addition, residents also have access to a magnificent 40,000-square-foot Clubhouse Complex including tennis, swimming, fine and casual dining, a fitness center, business amenities, and more.

Community Center

Brier Creek community is blessed with a beautiful City of Raleigh community center located right within the community. This facility, built in 2006 is located on 10 acres on the campus of Brier Creek Elementary School. This park is a partnership with the City of Raleigh and Wake County Schools sharing school and community use spaces and features facilities including a gymnasium, fitness room, art room, kitchen, multipurpose fields, and shelters. They also offered organized programming and camps.
